Care Instructions

Please Note: All of our products are handmade with care, which means each piece is truly one of a kind. As a result, slight variations in color, shape, or finish may occur between items, even within the same style. These differences are a natural part of the handmade process and are not considered defects, but rather a reflection of the unique craftsmanship behind every piece.

Polymer Clay Jewellery

To ensure your beautiful polymer clay jewellery stays looking its best for years to come, please follow these care guidelines:

Keep It Dry
Polymer clay jewellery should not be exposed to excessive moisture. Avoid wearing your pieces while swimming, showering, or in the rain. If your jewellery gets wet, gently pat it dry with a soft cloth.

Avoid Harsh Chemicals

Polymer clay is resistant to many chemicals, but it's still a good idea to keep your jewellery away from perfumes, lotions, hairspray and harsh cleaning products. These can cause discoloration or damage over time.

Store Properly
Store your jewellery in a cool, dry place when you're not wearing it. A jewellery box or pouch is ideal to keep your pieces safe from dust, scratches, or accidental drops. If your jewelry has delicate components (like metal findings), store them in a way that keeps them separate to avoid scratches.
Store your jewellery away from prolonged sunlight when not in use.

Clean Gently
To clean your polymer clay jewellery, use a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive materials like paper towels or rough sponges.

Handle with Care
Although polymer clay is durable, it can still be scratched or damaged by sharp objects. Be mindful when handling your jewellery, and avoid dropping it on hard surfaces.

Be Mindful of Impact
Polymer clay jewellery is lightweight but can still break if dropped onto a hard surface. Be cautious with your pieces, especially those with intricate designs or added embellishments.

Stainless Steel Findings
Can be cleaned with mild soap and water, just be sure to dry thoroughly to prevent moisture buildup.

Gold-Plated & Silver-Plated Findings
These finishes are delicate and may wear over time with heavy use.
Avoid water, sweat, and chemicals to preserve the plating.
Do not use polishing cloths made for solid metals, they can wear away the plated layer.
Spot clean gently with a dry, soft cloth. Avoid rubbing too hard.

Wire Knitting

  • Handle with care. Avoid bending the piece as excessive flexing can distort its shape and compromise its structure.

  • If the inner wire becomes visible, gently adjust the surrounding yarn to redistribute it evenly.

  • Spot clean only using a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid cleaning agents, as they may damage the yarn.

  • Keep the piece away from rough surfaces or abrasive materials, particularly Velcro, as they can snag the yarn and damage the finish.

Resin Jewellery and Keychains

General Care

  • Avoid exposure to water. Resin is water-resistant but not waterproof. Prolonged exposure to moisture can cloud the finish or weaken adhesive bonds.

  • Keep away from heat. Avoid leaving your jewelry in direct sunlight, near radiators, or in hot cars, as extreme temperatures can cause discoloration or warping.

  • Store with care. Keep pieces in a dry, cool place, ideally in a pouch or jewelry box to protect from scratches and dust.

Cleaning

  • Spot clean only. Gently wipe resin surfaces with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, alcohol-based cleaners, or abrasive cloths.

  • Do not soak. Never submerge resin items in water or cleaning solutions.

Metal Chains & Findings

  • Your jewelry may feature stainless steel, black iron, or silver-toned iron chains:

  • Stainless Steel: Durable and tarnish-resistant. Clean with a soft cloth; mild soap and water are safe if rinsed and dried immediately.

  • Black Iron & Silver Iron: These metals may develop a patina over time. Avoid water and humidity. Wipe gently with a dry cloth after wear to remove oils and moisture.

Things to Avoid

  • Water, lotions, perfumes, and cleaning agents

  • Rough handling, drops, or heavy impact

  • Direct sunlight and high heat

  • Storage with sharp or abrasive items (to avoid scratching)
